Organisational Workshops

Like to organise an in-person workshop for your health organisation, agency or community group? Tess can deliver a live 2.5 hour Carer Burnout and Fatigue workshop for your team.

Carer Fatigue and Burnout Workshop

Prevention and Recovery through Radical Self-Care
WHEN CANDLES, BATHS AND MASSAGES JUST WON'T CUT IT

The Carer Fatigue and Burnout Program was created to help support all carers, including paid workers and those who provide care to family members, as well as organisations, health agencies and community groups that employ or support carers.

It was created as a result of my own journey over the past four years whilst recovering from PTSD and burnout, which led me to research the many factors which impact carer health and wellbeing, and often result in illness and burnout.

It is my sincere hope that this information will help guide and support you in continuing in your own caregiving roles in a way that acknowledges your value as a whole person, gives you meaning and purpose without compromising your health.

2.5 Million
Paid Carers

The number of paid carers providing care across the country,
as of 2022. (ABS, 2024)

70%
Frontline Burnout

Research by Monash University highlighted 70% of frontline healthcare workers have experienced burnout.

90%
Exhaustion

Over 90% of carers reported feeling physically or mental exhausted with burnout highly prevalent amongst unpaid carers.

Why This? Why Now?

The impact of consistent caregiving in a context that fails to adequately value and support staff, employees and managers can lead to chronic stress, as well as mental and physical illness in the workplace.

I know what it feels like when carers lose their sense of self, especially when they are consistently focusing on the needs of others.  This program is my invitation for organisations to create space for their people to slow down, reflect and build their capacity to thrive in the workplace.
